Gómez becomes season's joint top scorer
Maxi Gómez was on the scoresheet once again in Valencia CF's game against Cadiz CF, equalising late on by nodding in a cross from José Luis Gayà and salvaging a point for the team.
The strike was the Uruguayan's fifth in LaLiga this season, pulling him level with Carlos Soler as Valencia CF's top scorer.
Gómez has been on target against Levante UD, Celta Vigo, Real Sociedad, FC Barcelona and Cádiz CF so far this term, and has been demonstrating his versatility in the process: Of his goals, two have come from his left foot, two from his right, and his latest being hi first header of 2020/21.
Last season, the striker scored four headed goals: One was against UD Logroñes in the Copa del Rey, with a further three in LaLiga against Getafe, Espanyol and Eibar.
